Oral Presentations will begin April 10, 2015. Students should sign up for a date as soon as possible.

***RUBRICS must be turned in with each component of the research project. ALL students were given file folders with all important information and rubrics!***

****Just to clarify several points about the Country Report Research Project. The notes pages do NOT need to be typed. They are pages that students were able to use to gather information and keep it all in one place. At the end of September, all students were given a file folder with ALL country report information, including directions and rubrics for each part. If you have any questions, please see the link on the left for Country Report Information. The finished, TYPED country research report is due March 11, 2015. Students are reminded of this daily and encouraged to see me if there is a problem with typing the report. If I know of an issue, I am more than willing to help find a reasonable solution!!!

January 10, 2014

All classes have finished watching "The Croods," and I think most of the students really enjoyed it!  Each class period has a different question from the movie that they will need to write about in an essay, which is due on Wednesday, January 15, 2014.

Periods 1 and 5- Who is your favorite character in the movie and why?  Use examples from the movie to explain your answer.

Period 2-  "That wasn't living-that was just NOT DYING!"  Eep was very upset when she said this to her father.  What did she mean by that?  How is that idea shown throughout the movie?

Periods 3 and 6-  At the beginning of the movie, Grug, the father, was telling the family to "always be afraid."  By the end of the movie, he was telling them to "never be afraid."  What happened throughout the movie that made him change his mind so drastically.

Period 4- If Grug is so scared of things in the outside world and considers anything new to be dangerous, then why does he keep Guy with the family?  How does their relationship change?

For all class periods, please be sure to use specific examples from the movie to corroborate your answers.

****ALL CURRENT EVENTS ARE DUE BY MONDAY, JANUARY 13, 2014!****
